Dr. Kim earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Texas A&M College of Dentistry. He furthered his dental knowledge and served veterans by completing a general practice residency at the VA North Texas Health Care System. He furthered his career by completing a periodontal surgery residency at Texas A&M College of Dentistry.

He has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of periodontal treatment and is very knowledgeable in sedation dentistry. Dr. Kim especially enjoys replacing people’s smiles with dental implants. He has extensive knowledge in dental implantology and has placed over 7,500 implants in his career.

As a specialist, Dr. Kim is involved in several dental organizations. He is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Santa Clara County Dental Society.

Dr. Kim’s philosophy is to provide the best periodontal care for all his patients and continue to strive for the best treatment by furthering and advancing his education on a continual basis. He keeps up with the latest in technological advances to offer better options for everyone who sees him for treatment and takes hundreds of hours of continuing education every year to expand his knowledge.

In his time outside of work, Dr. Kim likes playing tennis, traveling, reading, and enjoying a good movie.
